WVU Public Relations & Advertising Students:

Want to join our BrandJRNY team in spring 2020?

We are looking for hard-working, passionate and talented students who seek experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting as a part of the new $250,000 AEP Foundation-funded Community Branding Initiative grant to expand BrandJRNY. In the BrandJRNY capstone experience, you will work in an agency-like setting to continue the work that our fall 2019 team started. You'll build relationships, research, plan and pitch an integrated community-branding plan and creative strategy for a small town in West Virginia. Pretty amazing opportunity, right?

Join a legacy of successful, community-based campaigns that have won multiple awards and received national attention. Check out past projects on this site, and click on the button below to learn more about applying for the fall 2019 STCM BrandJRNY capstone with Dr. Colistra.

Not quite ready to take your capstone course, but still would like to be a part of our BrandJRNY team? Sign up for the collaborative brand storytelling class to learn the skills to tell the visual stories of our next community through traditional mediums and emerging technologies. OUR BLOG

Follow our adventures via our Blog!

As a diverse group from various states, each student team member has a unique perspective of his or her time spent in small towns in the Mountain State.

Read first-hand experiences written by students and faculty leaders about our brand journeys. Our blog covers insights on the triumphs and challenges that we endure while working in these communities. We also offer many useful, informative posts that are especially relevant to strategic communications, creative, and social and digital media professionals as well as storytellers and researchers.
